I recently read an editorial about the immigration issue which clarified the differences between the influx of legal immigrants in our past history in stark contrast to the present day illegals. It strikes me that God's admonitions are as relevant today as they were when they were originally recorded. BTW, my paternal grandparents supposedly immigrated here because they were tired of the ethnic wars. Supposedly they were slavics. It has been nearly a century since they fled Europe and it's been still going on during my lifetime.
Respectfully,
complexNfunAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31165268.post-1154029713537562442006-07-27T14:48:00.000-05:002006-07-27T14:48:00.000-05:00I agree that these these people don't really care ...I agree that these these people don't really care about making people happy, free, etc. They are using the term religion and islam in an attempt to justify their view of a world where the man gets all the fleshly pleasures he wants, and the women are nothing but his slaves. It is one of the more twisted views of God's will for people. They are quick to deplore moral attrocities, but at the same time, refuse to see themselves as part of the problem. When Jesus walked the earth in his fleshly body, he had a message for his own people that did such things (Matthew 23). One other point, care must be taken in describing this conflict using scriptures. While it is true that the Jews have paid for breaking the covenant and crucifying the Savior, it is also true that God would rather us focus on the spiritual battle. The current fights in the middle east, while deplorable and could affect us in some way in the future, are not prophesied of in the OT or NT as part of God's plan now, except from the standpoint of reaping what is sown.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31165268.post-1154026925897761722006-07-27T14:02:00.000-05:002006-07-27T14:02:00.000-05:00Actually, the little girl's name is Kingsley (Kins...Actually, the little girl's name is Kingsley (Kinsley).
